This Privacy Policy describes how KitchenPilot ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application ("App").

1. Information We Collect

Account Information — When you create an account, we collect your email address via Sign in with Apple or Google OAuth. We do not collect your name, phone number, or payment details directly — payments are handled entirely by Apple.

Information You Provide

• Dietary preferences and allergies entered during onboarding or in settings
• Meal plan inputs (age, weight, height, gender, activity level, goals)
• Recipe ratings (thumbs up / thumbs down)

Usage Data — We collect limited usage data to enforce free-tier limits (e.g. number of recipe searches). This data is stored locally on your device.

Recipe and Meal Plan Content — Recipes and meal plans you generate are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the App — authenticate you, generate personalised recipes and meal plans
• Enforce subscription status — verify whether your account has an active subscription or complimentary access
• Improve the App — understand how features are used (aggregated, non-identifiable)

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

When you generate a recipe or meal plan, your inputs are sent to our backend server and then to Anthropic's API. We do not store these inputs after the response is returned.

4. Data Storage and Security

Account data is stored securely using the iOS Keychain and in Supabase's secure infrastructure. App preferences are stored locally on your device. We use HTTPS for all communications. We retain your account data for as long as your account is active.

5. Children's Privacy

KitchenPilot is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.

7. Deleting Your Account

To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at app.kitchenpilot@gmail.com with the subject line "Delete My Account." We will process your request within 30 days.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
